While he may be best known as the bassist for shoegazing greats Lush and The Jesus and Mary Chain, Phillip King was a prolific musician prior to his commercial successes of the 90s. Between the 1981 break up of his first band The Beautiful Losers and joining post-punk greats The Servants, King paired up with his then girlfriend, Roxanne New, to write a song commemorating the 30th anniversary of Festival of Britain entitled Skylon. This 7" contains two never before released versions of the song, both special in their own way.
